David Barrett founded AAA Communications in 1992 with a straightforward belief: the physical layer (the cables, fibre and pathways your network runs on) either works or it does not, and every network problem eventually traces back to it. We have installed, tested and certified copper and fibre on live sites every year since. We built our reputation on being the team you call when the physical layer has to be right.

We have operated through the transition from analogue to digital, from Cat3 to Cat6A, from 10Mbps to 10GBase-T, from macro cellular to in-building 4G/5G DAS. Through every transition, one thing has stayed constant: the physical layer has to be right before anything above it can perform.

1992

David Barrett founds AAA Communications in Sydney and becomes a Telstra Partner. Focused from day one on structured cabling and physical infrastructure for enterprise clients.

2000s

Expanded into fibre optic installation, OTDR testing, and brownfield audit capability as enterprise cabling complexity grew.

2010s

Added enterprise Wi-Fi RF validation and in-building cellular coverage capability. Registered as a NSW Health supplier.

2020s

CEL-FI and Quatra DAS certified installer. In-building 4G/5G now a core capability across health, industrial, retail, and corporate sectors. Rated 5.0 from 14 Google reviews.
